Short Films
This is a collection of short films varying in length and quality that I have produced over the years, it includes work from University and the years prior to attending Uni.
These works showcase my range in being able to capture tone and create films with interesting concepts. While some are not strictly as professional as some of the others there is merit in these works and showcase my potential.
Reality Warp
Out of all the short films on display this one is by far my most experimental. We tried to tell a simple story and found some interesting ways to capture some unsettling footage to convey our messages.
I find that this short film succeeds in creating an interesting tone by pairing unique visuals and unique soundscapes to explore a topic in an unconventional manner.
Manhunt
This is the only film in this thread that was not made for a Uni project. I scripted, storyboarded, directed and edited the whole thing and got my younger cousins and little brother to be actors in this story.
I believe that with the constraints of low quality equipment, using non-actors and utilising things we had immediately at our disposal at home, this project was rather successful in what I had set out to create.
The Lock
The lock was created as the final project of first year media classes. While rough around the edges this project is proof that we could take our concept and carry it to a finished final product.
Homies
“Homies” was made as the final version of a weekly short film challenge for a class. We were given the word ‘floating’ at the beginning and all our other films including this one revolved around that word.
The spin on the task was to create an Australian sitcom. This is our outcome, while being rough around the edges I believe we did the best we could with both the allotted time and the concept.
